Christina Green is a Melbourne-based songwriter, composer, performer and multi-instrumentalist who is active in both the folk/acoustic & contemporary classical contexts. Featuring polished lyrics, strong images & storytelling & nuanced guitar/ukulele accompaniments, Christina’s songs tell stories of people & events that have inspired her, bringing together politics, spirituality, quirky vignettes & tales, & personal stories with emotional layers. A sense of place also features in many of her songs, which capture the essence of things & convey the richness of the everyday, drawing on vivid images & styles ranging from folk-rock and punk to cabaret/chanson. Christina has performed widely in Melbourne and at a range of Victorian festivals, in the UK, Canada and the US, has released several CDs. Her double CD Some Days/Life I Can Live (2017) features 24 songs & 4 instrumental pieces.
